They charge 3,100 INR for a taxi to the airport which I found to be very expensive but I couldn’t arrange for any other transportation (no Uber in this area). The only bad thing was the AC doesn't go on unless someone is there so it can be hot when you first get there. I used the gym which had a few equipment which was clean and new. There was a place for yoga although they don't have an instructor but you could pay for one.

There were several things on the property including a free half hour ride on a boat, free snack in the afternoon with tea or coffee, butterfly garden, geese roaming around, fish you can feed, paddle boat, and a children's playground. There is a small pool for kids up to 2 feet. The pool temperature was very pleasant and the water is not too deep. There wasn't much shade from the umbrellas but I parked myself under a tree. There was a weird thing about what you can wear in the pool which they didn't initially mention. They had towels at the pool which were clean but all seemed to have stains on them. They would usually have nice music playing in the evening. If you order off the menu it will take a half hour to get your food, even if you are the first guest. They have a wide selection of Indian, Asian and western food to choose from and always had a buffet. I ate in the restaurant or pool bar for all 3 meals as there is nothing you can walk to off the property. There were many outlets to choose from, even by your bed, and many light switches.

The TV had many channels including several English movie and news channels. There was a nice sized safe, a refrigerator, and complimentary bottled water. The wifi worked well in the room but didn't work at the pool which was frustrating. I had a patio overlooking the pool and playground. The bathroom was spacious as well with nice towels and good water pressure. I had to ask 3 separate people for a map, the first two said they don't have a map but I got one from the third person so persistence paid off! The room was extremely spacious, clean and updated with a sitting area and desk. I had to come back and ask questions multiple times and there isn't anything in the rooms to explain everything. The check in process was minimal so I didn't know much about this 8 acre property like check out time, confirmation of breakfast included, wifi password, etc. I found this hotel after I came to my original hotel which I didn't like. We are eagerly looking forward to visiting the resort soon again and hope to stay in one of the floating cottages. The staff at the property is very helpful and well organised. The floating cottages and the old cottages(more than 100 years old) next to the backwaters are a must stay. We had a chance to meet the gracious owners of the property and were bowled over by their humility and their sincere desire to make our stay a truly unforgettable experience. Our kids were happy cycling on the cycling tracks and our 2 year old was mesmerised by the beautifully curated butterfly garden. The in-house massage centre is a must visit. A ride in the resorts houseboat down the backwaters transports you to a different world all together. The resort is situated bang on the backwaters and the pleasing breeze rejuvenates your senses. The food experience leaves you asking for more. You are bowled over as soon as you enter the resort with its open air reception area surrounded by water bodies and beautifully lit up in the evenings with floating candles. We took a short trip of 4 nights and it was an unforgettable experience. I reiterate and promise that every penny and moment spent here will be worthwhile and a life time experience. You would easily require one entire day to explore this property and its offerings.

Mine ran out of space and I had to delete apps at the last moment. If you are headed here ensure that you have your favourite camera and enough space on your mobile. The property also offers usage of canoes and pedal boats at the aqua centre, fish feeding and an access to swimming pool. It had breakfast, boat backwater cruise, lip smacking local flavoured tea and coffee with snacks by the lakeside the view you can’t get anywhere else.

Costs you around whooping 18,000 INR including taxes (I know it’s quite a lot but do read it out till the end and check the pics I clicked here). It’s an expensive place to stay in but believe you me every penny spent will be worth it. This property is approximately 32 kms away from Holiday Inn and is 62 kms away from the Kochi Airport & takes about 2.5 hours to reach the airport.
